Edward G. Rushton Jr. July 7, 2024 Edward G. Rushton Jr., 67, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Sunday, July 7th at Allied Services Hospice Center in Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Edward G. and Betty Lou Woods Rushton. Ed was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School in Wilkes-Barre and he served with the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a chef at Ollie’s Restaurant in Edwardsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Rushton; stepson, Brock Ondish and 2 infant twin daughters. He was also preceded by his sisters, Edwina Stivers and Margaret Simmonette; and by his brothers, William, Francis and Robert Rushton. Ed is survived by his wife, Arlene Cranford Rushton; son, Michael Klimchok; sister, Ella Greskewicz and her husband, Tony; 5 grandchildren; aunts, Mary Cappellini and her husband, Ray; and Peggy Vino; uncle, Philip Woods and his wife, Rita. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service for Edward will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent by visiting Edward’s obituary at www.ngjfuneral.com.
