Obituary of Eleanor Ann Roberts

Eleanor Ann Roberts, 95, of Edwardsville passed away Wednesday April 6, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Waverly, NY the daughter of the late Homer and Edna Saunders Yeomans. Eleanor was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1945. She was employed for many years as a nurse’s aid supervisor at Leader East Nursing Home, Kingston. Eleanor was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Edwardsville, and its Gild, Columbia Hose Co. Auxiliary, and The Eastern Star. Preceding her in death was her husband of 68 years Gordon Roberts Jr. and brother, Homer “Bucky” Yeomans. She is survived by her sons, David and his wife Loletta, Fresno, CA, Douglas and his wife Laura, Exeter, Dale and his wife Bernadine, Edwardsville, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, William Yeomans and his wife Lois, West Pittston, and sister, Shirley Yeomans, West Pittston. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday April 11, 2022, from Edwards & Russin Funeral and Cremation Services Inc. 717 Main Street Edwardsville with Pastor James Quinn of the Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends and family may call Sunday April 10, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
